ABOUT

When I was a wee child, my parents were always listening to music.  My earliest musical memory was on a camping trip in my parent's old Chevy van.  They're both Deadheads, so naturally, so am I.  That van had a tape deck in it, and we regularly listened to Reckoning.  My earliest memory is from the song "Ripple" where Jerry says "That's Otis."

I have been playing instruments on and off since I was 18, but I really started playing and performing about 5 years later.  I started in bluegrass circles, playing mandolin in amateur jams around town and at every festival I attended.  Watching Andy Falco of the Infamous Stringdusters brought me into the world of guitar.  At that point I was introduced to the fantastic skills of Doc Watson and Tony Rice, as well as the intricacies of jam bands and folk.

A few years ago I found myself in a conversation with Paul Reed Smith.  He said that you have to bet on yourself in order to succeed.  It might be crazy, but you have to take that chance in order to get anywhere.  I have sat on this thought for years, and I haven't been able to turn it into action until now.

For years I felt stifled by where I lived, and the way I spent my time.  It wasn't until moving to the Lehigh Valley that I decided to take that chance on myself.  In my head I keep saying "I live in Bethlehem. Let's get out there any play music."

That goal now is to gig.  In the weird, wonky world of COVID, there is still room for musicians to share their gifts with the world.  I hope that you have a chance to make it to a show and that you like what you hear.  If you ever want to have a chat about music, gear, or gigs just reach out via the Contact page.  I'd be glad to hear from you.

Thank you for visiting.  I hope you check back often.
